Forest Suites Resort

Such a beautiful resort. I stayed here with my sister and we had such a good time. The tub was to die for and the little mushrooms were to cute. I definitely want to come back so we can enjoy the resort in the snow. It was absolutely stuning and the check in process was super easy. Also we had some trouble with not knowing how to use the fireplace and communication was so quick and clear.

Somehow, the second visit was even better than the first. I came in December and I genuinely had such a good time. The resort went above and beyond to make my vacation unforgettable. The design of the room was so beautiful that I annoyed all my friends with constant images uploaded on insta and snap. The fireplace and the bathtub was still one of the best amenities that I have experienced in any cabin I stayed in thus far. I can’t wait to come back !

Excellent location, great service and amazing amenities. A must stay when you come to beautiful South Lake Tahoe. My family loved everything about this resort. I really appreciate the contactless checking in and out. They even text you and remind you of great complimentary events going on in the resort.

Our family of four stayed 4 nights in a Deluxe 1-Bedroom Suite. The location is excellent — steps away from Heavenly Village, the gondola, shopping, and dining. Parking was easy and convenient, and the free breakfast each morning was a nice bonus. The suite was spacious, and having a kitchen made it easier to prepare quick meals for the kids, which we really appreciated. One area for improvement would be the cleanliness and attention to detail. We noticed spider webs and a few leftover items in the kitchen from previous guests. It wasn’t a major issue, but addressing those details would make the rooms feel much fresher and more welcoming. Overall, we had a good stay and enjoyed being close to everything in South Lake Tahoe. With a little more focus on cleaning and updates, this resort could be an even better choice for families.

Great location. TV needs updating—-smart TV would be better so we could watch our streaming channels. Over all good price and comfortable stay

This is a lovely place to stay. It is very dated but the rooms are large with a full kitchen and large living room. Comfortable beds and sofa. Very cute fireplace giving you a mountain feel. There is a continental breakfast. Parking is $20 daily - worth it. Walking distance to the casinos/restaurants. In the summer there is a free shuttle but not winter or shoulder season. The only surprise that was never mentioned on making the reservation or checking in was a 25.00 resort fee daily! Only maid service is given if you stay 5 days or more. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash is in containers attached to shower.

This place made our ski trip at Heavenly great. The rooms are older but had everything we needed, were spacious, quiet, and very clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious and perfect to fuel up for long ski days. Finally, the location was perfect - 2 minutes walk to the gondola, shuttle stops, ski rentals, restaurants, and convenience stores. Highly recommend this resort!

I live here in town, so when I plan a staycation I’m very picky — we have so many hotels to choose from. But there’s a reason I keep coming back to this one. The breakfast is genuinely amazing, a full and delicious spread that actually feels like a treat. The rooms are spotless, spacious, and the fireplaces make them feel warm and cozy. The staff is always welcoming and goes above and beyond, and the location is perfect. Even as a local, this hotel still makes me feel like I’m getting away. Highly recommend!
